I had the idea to this during a nice break at a cafe when I absentmindedly folded the little sachet that the sugar (brown sugar*) came in (see below).

From the sachet came some quick sketches to see if a 1:2 ratio or if the Golden Ratio would look nicer. I found the Golden Ratio preferable, which shouldn't come as a big surprise, I guess.
